We’re here to help over 30,000 students at the University of Exeter love their time at University. As an independent charity, we’re all about championing students’ voices and making a real difference to their experience, whether that’s through events, support, societies, or campaigning for change.

Student Staff Roles

At the Guild, student staff don’t just support what we do, they shape it. From reception staff, to content creators, data crunchers, EDI consultants and student reps, we employ over 70 students in a whole range of roles and teams.

Community Organiser

The Community Organiser role will enhance the work of the Community Empowerment Team by working directly with our diverse student community groups to help them organise events, activities, and initiatives which build a sense of belonging. This will include driving forwards our projects which profile particular communities (Disability History Month, LGBTQ+ History Month, etc.) and cultural celebrations.

Academic Representation Convenor

We’re looking for someone with the passion to support the day-to-day work of our volunteer student representatives and help them develop innovative solutions for their student community. You will also facilitate the delivery and development of the Guild’s wider provision of Academic Representation support across the University.

Postgraduate Research Officer (Health and Life Sciences)

We’re looking for a Postgraduate Research student in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences with the passion to support the student experience and build research culture as the senior student representative for our PGR student community in your faculty. You will work alongside other students and staff to promote solutions and encourage positive change.

Student PR and Press Assistant

Support press and media comms by spotting student stories, writing releases and managing media outreach. You’ll help shape external messaging, including student voice in press and crisis comms. 

Student Content Creator

Create fun, short-form content for TikTok, Reels and YouTube Shorts. You’ll cover events, edit videos, design graphics, and help keep our socials engaging and inclusive. Work closely with the Guild’s social team to test ideas and reflect student life online. 

Student Ideator

We’re looking for students from a range of backgrounds and experiences to help shape our campaigns. As a Student Ideator, you’ll join marketing ideation sessions and help shape inclusive, student-led campaigns. You’ll share your lived experience, plus ideas and feedback to make our marketing campaigns more effective. 

Student Blogger Team Leader

Support the student blogging team while creating content yourself. You’ll assign briefs, manage deadlines, support onboarding, and help shape inclusive, high-quality web, email, screen and print copy with the comms team. 

Student Blogger

Write blogs and content that reflect student life, support services and key campaigns. You’ll help plan, write and upload pieces for the Guild website, email and digital screens, building your writing skills and portfolio in a real comms environment.
