Our Hair is Our Pride:
Styles such as braids, locs and twists are cultures which are dated back to thousands of years ago in our community. Each curl, style and braid reflects history, identity and love.
the 1960s and 1970s, afro hair represented black pride and beauty during the Civil Rights Movement and the Black Power Movement.

Did you know that our hair comes in different types? Ranging from bone straight to tight coils, they are catergorised into types 1A to 4C.

Hair Care Tips and Tricks:
· Satin bonnets and pillowcases reduce friction which keeps hair healthy.
· Know your porosity- high porous hair and low porous hair need different types of care.
· Always detangle with moisture (this not only makes it easier but saves you from pain and breakage)
· Don’t forget to keep your hair moisturised with water, oils and conditioners.
· Our garden thrives when it is watered.
· Social media influencers are your best friends
