From free, confidential advice and unforgettable events to supporting societies and empowering student activism-we’re here to make your university experience the best it can be.
We’ve worked alongside students to create meaningful opportunities to connect, lead and thrive. Over the last academic year, more than 19,000 students - 61% of the University community -have engaged with the Guild’s societies, campaigns and services.
Community & Belonging
- Welcome Week 2024 saw over 8,300 of you take part in our student-led programme of events - from society fairs and cultural celebrations to wellbeing workshops and live music.
- 2,300 student leaders ran 290 societies, helping more than 13,000 members find their people, passion and place.
- Our annual Guild Awards celebrated the spirit of our student community, with 584 nominations across 12 categories – so many worthy winners, it was hard to pick!
- Over 70 students worked across the Guild’s teams, with more than £156,000 paid directly into students' pockets. These roles provided valuable paid experience in events, communications and student services, while ensuring students remain at the heart of everything the Guild delivers.

- In 2024/25, 32 student-led campaigns tackled issues from sustainability and affordability to classism and self-image.
- 570 Academic and PGR Reps worked to improve the student experience across departments.
- 19,000 of you cast votes in our student leadership elections - ensuring student priorities continued to shape the Guild’s direction on mental health, feedback and employability.
Support & Wellbeing
- Our Advice Service supported over 1,500students with housing, academic and financial concerns.
- Initiatives like Feed Your Flat, Exam De-Stress and Move Smart Flatmate Finders helped break down barriers to seeking support - with Feed Your Flat alone distributing 840 ingredient kits, feeding an estimated 3,400 students during cost-of-living pressures.
Looking ahead
The Guild is listening, learning and acting on student feedback –creating more spaces to belong, more ways to get involved and more support when it's needed most. Together, we’re building a stronger, more inclusive student community at Exeter.
